I was thinking maybe I might be blunt at times when speaking. Then it occurred to me that being blunt isn’t a far step away from being dull when referring to sharp objects. Is that affecting the points I make?
Does this imply I’m not sharp?
Should I keep an eye out for some verbal whetstones for honing my statements?
Would having a serrated edge in what I say be more of a disadvantage than helpful? Wouldn’t having the miracle blade of speaking deter and inhibit dialogues?
I wouldn’t want to have a butter knife approach since I might end up laying it on thick, too much for some people’s tastes.
*sigh* Expression is so complicated… Is that why actors get paid so much? Or perhaps that’s why people believe politicians, because they’ve refined their expressions?
